Fishy’s Quiz – Saturday 16th March – £5 per head.
It’s back… our Fishy special quiz … it’s always a sell-out…first come first served. Prizes and the usual twists!
Look out for our poster and list on the social board for this one. Payment on night for this one.
Winter Tournament Finals Day – Sunday 7th April.
Our Winter Tournament is now well underway, with some mammoth matches taking place! The finals are rapidly approaching, so make sure you get those matches organised before the play-by-dates!
Finals day is on the 7th of April, which is promising to be a great day of tennis. Come down to the club watch some great tennis. The Final’s Day Schedule will be shared closer to the day.
Beetle Drive – Saturday 27th April – £10 per head.
Last year’s attendees wanted this one repeated! Simple game but lots of fun with a posh ploughmans for everyone and prizes!
Sign up in clubhouse or on the socials – look out for the posters…. Payment can be made via BACS – reference SOC-BD-Surname-x1 etc (no of tickets).
2024 AGM – SAVE THE DATE – Wednesday 16th October, 7:30pm
The club’s AGM will be held in the clubhouse on Wednesday 16th October 2024. Please put this date in your diaries, more details to follow in due course.
TOURNAMENTS UPDATE
Men’s Tiebreak Shootout – Sunday 17th March, 1pm start.
A one-day tiebreak bonanza! £5 cash entry fee, paid on the day. Sign up sheets on the Tournament board!
Ladies Tie Break Shootout Winners!
Thank you to all the ladies who came to the Ladies Tiebreak Shootout! Gorgeous weather, some amazing tennis and a really tough fought final!
Well played to our Runner-Up, Amy, and our Winner, Reyhan!
Club Closed Entry Deadline – Sunday 31st March.
Club Closed entry forms are now available at the club, our biggest tournament of the year. You need to have rejoined to enter. Deadline for entry is Sunday 31st of March.
To enter:
Please complete a paper form, which can be found next to the tournament board in the club house and enclose the completed form (with monies) in a sealed envelope and post in the Tournament box (found on the wall next to the tournament board) in the Clubhouse.
Alternatively, if you are unlikely to visit the club before the deadline or there are no forms when you visit, please email us at [email protected] and ensure you enclose payment for your entry with your name in the Tournament Box at a later time.
Payment will also be accepted via BACS transfer.
Finals day for this tournament will be Sunday 21st July 2024.
If we do not receive payment with your entry, you will not be entered into the tournament!
FACILITIES UPDATES
Working Party!
A massive thank you to everyone who helped out last weekend, dodging the raindrops to cut back the hedges on courts 2 and 4. The help was really appreciated and saves the club much needed money on maintenance!
New Till!
The club is now in possession of a new till which is in the process of being programmed. In due course those trained on the bar will have to be retrained to use this till – keep an eye out for further information.
JUNIOR COACHING
Junior Night is BACK!! Comic Relief Party – Friday 15th March, 6-9pm.
Our first Junior Night of the year is back – and it’s a special one!! To celebrate our first Junior Night back for 2024, we will be putting on a special, extended Comic Relief party from 6-9pm.
Put on your best Comic Relief themed costumes, don your red noses (parents included!!) and get prizes (yes, you too parents!), lots of sweets, and lots of games! Bring your rackets for the first half!
All members, non-members and parents welcome. Entry £5. Invite your friends!!
If it rains, we will move indoors and do the usual 6-8 instead of our extended session!

Following this, we will be going back to our usual weekly 6-8pm Junior Night, members only sessions!
We will be running our fabulous tennis camp in the Easter holidays – for children aged 4+
