WHAT’S ON OFFER FOR JUNIOR PLAYERS…
There is a huge amount on offer for our junior members!
There is a huge amount on offer for our younger players. We provide coaching to Tots, Minis and Juniors on Saturday morning ‘Pay and Play’, which run all through the year. Tennis Camps are organised during half terms and summer holidays. We provide curriculum based tennis to our home schooled children during term time, and our after school groups which run every day of the week during term time.
Competitions are organised throughout the winter and summer months this gives our Juniors plenty of opportunity to practise match play at an entry level, play competitive tennis and for some competitions, gain confidence in organising matches for themselves.
JUNIOR COACHING PROGRAMME
Junior tennis is split into four levels:–
- Mini red appropriate for children aged 4yr to 8yr
- Mini orange appropriate for children aged 8yr to 9yr
- Mini green appropriate for children aged 10yr
- Yellow balls / standard balls for children aged 11+ yrs
We currently have several after-school groups and training squads for all 4 levels. There is a 40% discount on 2nd child, and anyone wishing to attend a 2nd Squad can do so for an additonal cost of £25.
Experienced juniors are encouraged to become Tennis Leaders. This involves participating in training to enable them to help the senior coaches with junior tennis activities.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMME
After School Programme is aimed at Minis and Juniors aged 4 to 11+. Every day of the week during term time. There is a group suitable for all skill levels. To find a group suited to your abilities please see below. The cost per term is £65 for members and £75 for non members. Where you have more than one child in your family attending the programme there is a 30% discount offered for the second child. If your child would like to attend more than one of the groups in the coaching programme, the cost for each additional group is £20.

SATURDAY MORNINGS PAY AND PLAY
Just rock up and play no need to book. From Tots to 11+ we have 2 age specific sessions from 9.45am to 12pm. The sessions are designed to give children an exciting hour of tennis. It’s a great way for youngsters to come and try tennis and learn new skills from simple hand eye coordination to how to put spin on the ball and of course lots of fun and games. The cost is £5 for members and £6 for non members.

TENNIS CAMPS
Tennis Camps are for youngsters aged from 4 to 11+ split into a morning (4yr to 8yr) and afternoon (8+yrs) 3 hour sessions. Those 3 hour sessions are packed with plenty of tennis based fun, games and learning new skills. Bring along a drink, a snack, hat or a light raincoat and don’t forget sun screen. If it is raining lightly, then we will carry on. If it starts to rain hard then we bring the children into the club house and play games inside. Tennis camps are organised for school holidays, Easter, Summer and Autumn, four days per week. The cost is based on how many days booked. The more days, the more discount is given. HOME EDUCATION TENNIS
Home Education Tennis for those children who are taught at home but still need to access Physical Education. From 2pm to 3pm we offer an hour of tennis for all school ages during term time. OUR YOUNG COACHES AND LEADERS
We have a growing group of teenagers who have been playing here since they were Minis and Juniors. We continue to coach them through to their level 1 Coaching qualifications and are encouraged to become Tennis Leaders, assisting our senior coaches. We are very proud of how well they have all done and especially proud of the girl coaches who managed to break the Guiness Book of Records for coaching non stop for 60 hours and in doing so managed to raise £3000 for charity. The number of girl coaches we have is exceptional and this was highlighted by the BBC when they interviewed the girls during Wimbledon 2015.
