NEW CHAIR INTRODUCTION – JAMES DROY
Thank you very much for voting me in as your next chair of LGLTC. I am very passionate about our club and thrilled to represent you moving forward.
Please feel free to reach out with any queries or questions, or if you’d like to help the club in any way. Please contact me at [email protected].

Thank you to those of you who attended our AGM in October, the AGM minutes are now on the website. The main committee will be in touch as and when the
matters arising from the AGM have been addressed.
Gavin Beale has offered to become treasurer of the club and will be gradually taking over the role. Please email [email protected] with any questions!
Following the AGM, we have some new faces on the committee! Information about the new committee members and their contact details will be coming out in the next week via a separate
email. In the meantime, please check the club noticeboards for who to contact on the main and playing committees.
We’d like to say a big thank you to those who have stepped down from various committee roles. This includes Chris Thomas, Tracey Dalmon, Sam Lane, Claire Atkins, Charlotte Sarrington,
Katie Dalmon, Elliott Lane and Anna Povey. The club relies on the support of volunteers, so your efforts are much appreciated!
As of the 1st of November, courts require booking through Clubspark at all times to guarantee a court. There will no longer be ‘turn up and play’ on Clubspark. This is to mainly assist
with arranging fixtures and to allow more flexibility in the booking system.
Ladies and Mens drills are back up and running. If anyone would like to attend but hasn’t been invited to the WhatsApp groups, please let Katie Dalmon or Addison Petrie know.
There will also be Christmas Mixed Drills on the 18th and 19th December so keep an eye out for details!
We have entered two new Winter Leagues (East Herts League and National League), to allow people to have more access to winter team tennis this year. This includes Ladies, Mens
and Mixed doubles.
Just a reminder to please make sure any shoes worn on court are proper tennis shoes without worn-out tread. This will help avoid any injuries.
The coaches usually have availability Mon-Fri between 9am-3pm and weekend afternoons for one-to-one coaching sessions. To check availability and to arrange a session please contact
Graham Fish ([email protected]; 07950 732772).
If you’re an early riser, Andy Knibbs is also offering early morning sessions – Mon-Fri between 7.30-9.30am. Get in touch to book! 07715 327312.

Exciting news! Our Christmas Party will be held on Saturday 14th December this year. Come and join us at the club for a great evening of homemade cocktails, nibbles and festivities.
We will also have live music from wonderful West Herts singer Joe, who was brilliant earlier this year at Graham’s party!
To sign up, either put your name up on the club noticeboard or you can sign up online here! https://forms.gle/iEa318mj1xoCXfih9
Unfortunately, due to low numbers and expected cold temperatures, we’ve had to cancel the Tipsy Tennis social this Friday 22nd November.
We hope to put it on sometime next year instead.
JUNIOR NIGHT – XMAS PARTY SPECIAL!
Save the date!
The final Junior Night of the year will be Friday 13th December 6-8pm, more details to come soon!
Well done to Tina Tô who beat Gavin Beale 6-3 6-3 in the handicap singles plate final!
