tttWe are delighted to offer you the opportunity to play again from Saturday 16th May! The Clubhouse will be open from 8am on the 16th with access limited to the toilets ONLY, whilst the coaching team or a key holder from the Executive Committee are present at the club.Thank you for your patience in allowing us to ensure that our facilities are as safe as possible and complying with LTA and Government guidance. This is a lengthy email but it is critical that you read all the details.

ttt

tttWe must first and foremost ask you all to continue to comply with government guidance regarding, health, travel, social distancing and hygiene at all times (details of which can be found below). Government advises that if you, or someone you live with, currently has or has had within the last two weeks symptoms of COVID-19, or you are in the most vulnerable category, you most stay at home (and not visit the club). For more detailed advice:

tttTo allow us to operate during this next phase we have had to make some changes, which will be reviewed on a regular basis and may have to change quickly if tighter movement/social distancing is reintroduced. Please watch out for further instructions via the club website, emails and also our Members Facebook page. The Facebook page allows us to get news to you quickly, so it would be helpful if as many members as possible join our group. To join our group please click the button below.

ttt

tttFACEBOOK MEMBERS GROUP

ttt

tttWe are expecting there to be pressure on court availability, with everyone wanting to get back out on court as soon as possible. Our priority is for the membership to have access and at this time we will not be allowing visitors to play or use the facilities (this will be reviewed regularly on an ongoing basis). If you have not renewed your membership you can do this now by contacting the membership team – Tracey Dalmon and Anna Povey at [email protected] or message on Facebook. New members are welcome across all relevant categories.

ttt

tttThe Booking System

ttt

tttAs part of our compliance requirements and as recommended by the LTA during this time of restricted play, we will be introducing a booking system. So, for booking courts from the 16th members will need to use the Clubspark Booking System. This is software that is free to LTA Registered Clubs.

tttThe system has been set up and will be ready for bookings from 8am on Thursday the 14th May. To gain access to it you will need to download an App on your smart phone, tablet or computer. If you search for “Clubspark Booker” on your iphone or android App store you will find the App to download for free.

ttt

tttOnce you have downloaded the App you will need to tap on the LTA Register section, then use the User Name and Password you use to enter the main LTA site (exactly as you would do for the opt into the Wimbledon Draw). This will automatically take you into the booking system where you can select Leverstock Green Lawn Tennis Club. You can also gain entry to this via Facebook and other social media outlets. If you need more information on how to do this contact James Droy – 07747 813487.

ttt

tttIf you have forgotten your User Name (ID) and Password, there is a link you can click on and it will then email you your ID. If you’ve forgotten your password there is a separate link. Once you’ve clicked this it will email you and you can use this email to change your password. Once you have both, you can then log into the App.

ttt

tttOnce in, the Booking system it is pretty intuitive. Here’s some headlines:

ttt

    tttt

  • We have set up the courts by number and hours of availability.
  • tttt

  • There will be a 15 minute change over time between bookings on each court and adjacent courts will not be changing over at the same time.
  • tttt

  • In the first instance booking will be limited to one hour slots, and only one slot can be booked by each member per day. We would ask, to allow all members access, you only book 4 hours per week at this time (this does not include coaching sessions). This will be reviewed with a view to increasing/decreasing in line with demand.
  • tttt

  • You will only be able to book one week in advance at the moment.
  • tttt

  • The coaching slots will be blocked out.
  • tttt

  • We have blocked courts 7 and 9, so that social distancing can be maintained. So whilst they may look free please do not play on them.
  • ttt

ttt

NB – You cannot play on the courts unless you have completed the booking process – this is so we can ensure member safety – it is essential that at this time we know who is playing on the courts.

ttt

tttThe aim of this system is to give members as much opportunity as possible to play, provide visibility of where the available slots are and avoid everyone turning up at once and courts not being available. The start times for all courts are staggered which will help with social distancing at the club.

tttThis system will be new to everyone, but we very much hope it will help us get back to playing tennis safely. Naturally as restrictions change and we understand the potential pressure on court availability, we can change many of the initial parameters and requirements set up.

tttCourt and clubhouse availability

ttt

    tttt

  • The courts will be available to book from 8.00am through to 9.00pm (last session bookable is 8.00pm). You will see on the booking system (as detailed above) court times are staggered.
  • tttt

  • You will be able to book courts using the booking system as of 8am on Thursday the 14th of May.
  • tttt

  • The floodlights will not be available.
  • tttt

  • You will need to be a member to play, pre-book a court and we would ask that, until further notice, you do not play during more than 4 sessions per week.
  • tttt

  • The clubhouse will be open when a member of the coaching staff or a key holder from the Executive Committee is at the club. ONLY the toilets will be available for use. Members are requested NOT to use the toilets wherever possible. Please use your facilities at home prior to arriving. If you do need to use the toilets please ensure only one person enters the toilets at a time and you wash our hands/use sanitiser (as per Government guidelines).
  • tttt

  • The kitchen and bar area will not be open – please bring your own drinks, and do not share food or drink with others.
  • tttt

  • The courts will be padlocked after the last session of the day and opened at 8.00am.
  • tttt

  • Players should avoid touching surfaces as much as possible and all benches etc have been removed from the courts. If players need to touch gates, fences or padlocks please use gloves where possible or use sanitiser after contact. The club is currently sourcing static sanitisers, but in the meantime we would ask that members bring their own if at all possible.
